Our Spicy Garlic TikTok Ramen Noodles
Through childhood and into young adulthood a quick snack for after school was instant ramen noodles. For us, this also applies to life today. We love instant ramen noodles! The variety of flavors from roast beef to creamy chicken and the fact that they are just pennies make this the perfect cheap and easy snack.
In a recent TikTok session, I saw someone doctor up their simple ramen noodles to make something resembling an actual meal rather than the noodles and broth we grew up with. It was awesome! A whole new world of ramen noodles.
After trying a couple different variations, we settled on this perfect blend of savory and spice that we can’t get enough of.
Ingredients, Substitutions, and Additions
Protein – Try out some leftover chicken, beef, or pork. Occasionally, we even cook up some shrimp. Scrambled or fried eggs are an amazing addition to your ramen noodles.
Dry Seasonings – For a bigger burn add some red pepper flakes.
Fresh veggies and herbs – Mushrooms added during the sauteing process can add an amazing earthy flavor. Dice bell pepper pairs well with onion. If you like spicy dice up some jalapeno or serrano and enjoy the burn.
Toppings – We put freshly chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds atop our ramen noodles. Want more heat? Add some extra sriracha.
Preferred Pairings
Our Spicy Garlic TikTok Ramen Noodles are the perfect solo snack. However, Minda and I often took a bento box to work for lunch. Our noodles would be the perfect main course in our box. Here are some snack ideas to include in a bento box.
Easy Tropical Fruit Salad – With just three ingredients this quick and easy tropical fruit salad is perfect for any time of day or occasion.
Zippy Bell Pepper Deviled Eggs – Deviled eggs are the perfect thing to bring for potluck or BBQ. Try this Zippy Bell Pepper Deviled Egg for something new and delicious.
