Baked Brie with Fig Jam

Our Baked Brie with Fig Jam

It wasn’t until I was in my late twenties that I first had brie. What a shame. Growing up I always thought it was something to fancy for me and didn’t think it would like it at all. I was wrong! This Baked Brie with Fig Jam is my absolute favorite appetizer… and occasional snack. It’s just three ingredients, simple to make, and tastes amazing. Try this at your next gathering. You will be the star of the night.

Ingredients, Substitutions, and Additions

Brie – The creamy texture of brie makes for a perfect spread. Combine this with Fig Jam and you get a sweet and savory spread that is just delicious. We buy our Brie at Sam’s Club or Costco. The reason, it’s SO much cheaper and you get like twice as much.

Fig Jam – You can really use any jam…and really, I want to try it with our Kick’n Cranberry Sauce this year, but we love the flavor and sweetness from the Fig. I will say it’s slightly difficult to find and sometimes we have to hunt around for it at a couple different grocery stores.

Bread – You have to have something to spread your brie on. What better than some nice warm bread. We usually go with a baguette but a French loaf would work too. The key is to cut it into easy to grab slices.
