S'mores Cream Pie

Our S'mores Cream Pie

Growing up, one of my favorite things to do as a kid was roast marshmallows for s’mores. When we weren’t able to roast marshmallows but still had a craving for chocolate marshmallowie goodness, my mom would whip us up some s’mores in the microwave. 

Well, my new favorite type of s’mores is in the form of a pie. The best part, it only takes 30 minutes to make and there is no baking involved. 

This S’mores Cream Pie consists of a graham cracker crust, instant chocolate pudding, cool whip, Marshmallow cream, and some mini chocolate chips. Throw it all together and you got yourself a tasty dessert in the shape of a S’mores Cream Pie. 

Ingredients, Substitutions, and Additions

Graham Cracker Crust – A graham cracker crust is an easy whip up with just some graham crackers, butter, and sugar. However, if you want to go even easier, grab a pie crust from the store. 

 

Crushing Graham Crackers – You want your Graham Crackers crushed really fine. To do this you can use a food processor but I find the results are a bit uneven. My favorite way, is to go old school…place the graham crackers in a resealable bag and run a rolling pin over them until you have the desired consistency. 

 

Mini Graham Cracker Crusts – I loved the idea of serving mini personal pies and the grocery store does sell the Mini Graham Cracker Crusts. These are the perfect size and very adorable. If using the smaller crusts, you only need half the amount of Marshmallow cream and Cool Whip. 

 

Instant Chocolate Pudding – Instant Pudding is so easy! You just mix with two cups of milk and in 5 minutes you have a tasty chocolate pie filling. 

 

Milk – We need milk for our pudding. For my lactose challenged peeps out there, don’t worry, it tastes amazing with some lactose free milk. 

 

Marshmallow Cream – If you’ve seen our website before, you may already know, this is one of my new favorite things to play with in my cooking. We really got into it in our Test Kitchen – Toast, Sweet Toppings.

 

Graham Cracker Crumble – For a little extra on top, add some crumbled-up Graham Crackers. It gives the pie a little extra crunch that is super yummy.

S'mores Cream Pie

Ingredients for S'mores Cream Pie

Graham Cracker Crust

  • 180g (about 12 crackers) Graham Crackers, crushed
  • 6 tbs Butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup Sugar

Marshmallow Topping

  • 7oz Jar of Marshmallow Cream
  • 4oz Cool Whip
  • 1/4 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 cup Graham Crackers, crumbled (optional)

Chocolate Filling

  • 3.4oz  Box of Instant Chocolate Pudding
  • 2 cups Milk

Directions

Marshmallow Topping

Combine Marshmallow Cream and Cool Whip in a large bowl. Mix until smooth and place in the freezer until contents are firm enough to pipe onto pie, approx. 20 minutes.

Graham Cracker Crust

Prepare homemade Graham Cracker Pie Crust by combining crushed Graham Crackers and Sugar. 

Once fully mixed together, add in melted Butter. Consistency should be moist enough to be able to mold around our pie plate. 

Transfer crust and use a rounded bowl or spoon to firmly shape the crust around the pie plate, making sure to cover the sides as well. Place in refrigerator until filling is ready to add. 

Chocolate Filling

While Marshmallow topping and the crust are in the refrigerator, prepare pudding in a medium bowl by combining Instant Chocolate Pudding and Milk. 

Whisk for 2 minutes so pudding is smooth. Let sit for 5 minutes to allow the pudding to set. 

Spoon pudding into Graham Cracker Pie Crust and smooth the top. Place in refrigerator until Marshmallow topping is ready to be pipped on top. 

S'mores Cream Pie Assembly

Once Marshmallow topping has firmed up, use a piping bag or a resealable plastic bag with the corner cut off, to pipe the topping on top of the pie. 

Sprinkle pie with Mini Chocolate Chips and Graham Cracker crumble, if desired. 

Serve and enjoy right away or place in the refrigerator until ready to eat.
