Our Popcorn Chicken Sliders
When I was younger, my momma would make chicken sliders for dinner or lunch for the family. They were SO good we would fight over the last one. After Mike and I got together, we needed snacks to munch on as we cheered on our football team each weekend. It was then that I introduced Mike to mommas chicken sliders. With just four ingredients these are so easy to make and don’t break the bank. To this day, these sliders are still a family favorite that we fight over.
Ingredients, Substitutions, and Additions
Chicken – To make these Popcorn Chicken Sliders quick and easy, we grab a bag of frozen Popcorn Chicken from the grocery store. A quick air fry or bake in the oven and you have some decent fried chicken. We’ve also used frozen chicken strips, but the best chicken would be some of our let over Fried Chicken Strips.
Rolls – You can use any type of roll you like but we love the flavor Hawaiian rolls bring to these sliders. You could even use some leftover Homemade Dinner Rolls.
Mayo & Mustard – Make sure your sliders aren’t dry while also adding some flavor by spreading some mayo and mustard on your rolls. When it comes to mustard, we mostly use good old yellow, but every now and then we switch it up. A spicy brown or stone-ground garlic are great.
Crazy Additions – I know I call this section crazy additions but all I mean is cheese. Minda thinks I am crazy when I add cheese to my sliders. Cheddar and Swiss are my favorite.
