Our Cheesy Stuffed Jalapeños
I love anything spicy. If it can set my mouth on fire, I must try it. Our Cheesy Stuffed Jalapeños are one of the easiest snack-atizers you can make. Jalapeños may not be the spiciest pepper out there, but they are the perfect vessel to stuff. Cheese and bacon are a great combo for stuffing our Jalapeños. Minda and I make our Cheesy Stuffed Jalapeños for football and baseball games, BBQs, and holidays. Even Grandma enjoys the burn that comes from enjoying our Cheesy Stuffed Jalapeños.
Ingredients, Substitutions, and Additions
Jalapeños – Jalapeños are the perfect balance of spicy and size for stuffing. We cut our Jalapeños in half for the ease of stuffing. This also allows us more delicious Cheesy Stuffed Jalapeños.
Cheese – We use two different cheeses. The first is shredded cheddar. This is because we always have it on hand. The second is cream cheese. We switch up the shredded cheese from time to time and use a Pepper Jack or Colby Jack.
Bacon – What is there to say about bacon. It is amazing. We use both premade bacon bits and homemade bacon bits. I like my bacon to be a bit chunkier, so I make my own.
Additional Ingredients – Add some sautéed minced onion and garlic. They will add tons of flavor, but it takes a little bit longer to enjoy your Cheesy Stuffed Jalapeños. Chopped black olives are also a great addition. If you need more cheese sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top before you put them in the oven.
