Our BBQ Chicken Wraps
All my life I have been convinced that you could take any food, wrap it in a tortilla and immediately it will become ten times better…hence my obsession for wraps. Whether they are for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even a snack they are one of my favorite things to eat. I recently begged Mike to make me a BBQ Chicken Wrap made from some leftover Fried Chicken Strips that we had from the night before. Oh, my goodness! It was the best! It’s amazing how you can take simple ingredients and make something so full of flavor that you crave more.
This BBQ Chicken Wrap would be perfect to bring with you to work in your lunchbox or even for a quick and easy dinner for the family. For this meal we take a Spinach Tortilla, wrap it around some leftover Fried Chicken Strips, add some veggies, and our favorite BBQ sauce. Bam! You have yourself a tasty wrap full of flavor.
Ingredients, Substitutions, and Additions
Spinach Tortilla Wraps – This wrap could easily be made with a regular flour tortilla, however, when we have Spinach Tortilla Wraps on hand we love the added pop of flavor they add to our wraps.
Fried Chicken Strips – Check out our recipe for Fried Chicken Strips. It’s one of our son’s favorite dinners and when we have leftovers they are perfect for these wraps. But don’t feel like you have to make a whole batch of Fried Chicken Strips just for this BBQ Chicken Wrap. Some frozen Chicken Strips from the grocery store would be just as tasty here.
BBQ Sauce – Kinder’s BBQ Sauce is one of our favorite BBQ sauces to use and we love the variety of flavors they offer.
Veggies – We keep things simple in the veggie department and stick with some Shredded Romain Lettuce and Diced Onions.
Preferred Pairings for BBQ Chicken Wraps
If you are looking for some yummy sides to add to your BBQ Chicken Wrap try out our Pasta Salad with Chicken, our Tomato Cucumber Salad, or even some Deviled Eggs.
Pasta Salad with Chicken – A great summer dish is Pasta Salad. Our Pasta Salad with Chicken takes very minimal effort but really packs a punch in the flavor department.
Tomato and Cucumber Salad – If you need a quick and easy side or snack, try our Tomato and Cucumber Salad it is a refreshing option that doesn’t skimp on flavor.
Zippy Bell Pepper Deviled Eggs – Deviled eggs are the perfect thing to bring for potluck or BBQ, but why keep with just the traditional flavors. Try this Zippy Bell Pepper Deviled Egg.
