Our Garlic Lemon Green Beans
Sometimes you need a light, refreshing side to complement your dinner. We got you covered with these Garlic Lemon Green Beans. These green beans came to be when Minda and I got tired of Green Beans from a can and were in the middle of trying to add more veggies into our diet. To our delight they were a hit with our family! Using fresh ingredients lets us control the flavor and firmness of our Garlic Lemon Green Beans.
Ingredients, Substitutions, and Additions
Green Beans – Stay away from those canned green beans and try some Fresh Green Beans found in the produce section of your local grocery store. Fresh Green Beans have an amazing crunch that is just not found in can Green Beans.
Lemons – We love using fresh lemons in our cooking or even just to flavor our water. The acidity of fresh lemons makes our Garlic Lemon Green Beans pop every time you take a bite. Use the zest of a lemon and then squeeze out the juice. Use both to turn these Green Beans into a refreshing side dish.
Parmesan – We love the touch of parm in this dish. It gives the beans a little bit more flavor while also adding just a tiny bit of crunch texture from the fried cheese.
